Original Maytronics replacement pre-filter basket for Dolphin robotic pool cleaners compatible with multi-layer filtration system. The function of the pre-filter basket is to prevent coarse debris (leaves, insects, pine needles,...) from entering the ultrafine filter. The prefilter basket is placed inside the ultrafine filter basket to create a precoat for high efficiency and clog-free filtration. It can be easily removed from the basket for quick and easy cleaning. Multi-layer filtration is standard on high-end Dolphin robots, but can also be added to compatible robots that do not come with a pre-filter basket as standard to improve the robot's ability to retain particles. It also helps extend the life of the ultrafine filters.
